I liked the collaboration part of this unit

David was a good teacher and worked through topics well. great!

Well, I have a love for mathematics. So learning more about mathematics was the best aspect of the unit.

Knowledgable lecturer and teaching assistant. Whatever that is taught in class is 100% understandable and relatable.

The interpretation of linear algebra.

The math was interesting to learn and teaching staff communicated in detail the expectations of learning outcomes.

Enough example material to assist students

the lecturer was able to deliver all the materials really well.

Benefits of the lesson in the exam.

 

There should be more feedback provided to the individual students.

I understand the relevance of maths to computer science. though I feel the content was not very well supported. I could not afford the required text, and could not obtain it and so struggled with content, having only the lectures to go off of.

Bridging units were in no way helpful and created stress in competing for my time. a subject like this would benefit from 1–1 tutoring but none of the support services provide this kind of assistance.

whilst I feel the course is relevant, and the teaching of it satisfactory, I struggled with this unit and having no means to

acquire or borrow the text made it exponentially difficult. Any required reading / exercises that come from the textbook should be incorporated in weekly tasks, so for those of us who cannot find the required reading, still have access to a minimum amount of content to help us through the course.
